Meet Maher, a longtime truck driver with nearly 30 years of experience. He’s celebrating his 5 year anniversary with Celadon this month! Maher recently came to us to discuss ways he can help educate professional drivers and the general population on trucking industry topics. He hopes to help new and veteran drivers by providing insight on industry topics.
Hear a little more from Maher below and be on the lookout for more posts in his new blog series.
Maher S: I got started driving back in 1990 with Mayflower Worldwide in Indianapolis as a lease operator. After a lot of learning, I’ve been with a few different companies as both a driver and driver trainer. Fast forward to 2013, and I joined Celadon and have enjoyed working with the phenomenal people here!
MS: After nearly 30 years of driving experience, I’ve seen a lot of changes in the industry. From large, government-mandated changes all the way down to the way drivers interact with one another and their carrier, there’s been a lot of change that I want to address and help with.
I want to educate not only truck drivers, but all drivers out on the road. My blogs will focus on the trucking industry as a whole, as well as instill a few lessons, tips, and more on a variety of topics.
MS: I want to help spread awareness and insight to new and experienced professional drivers, as well as the entire driving population. The more information we can spread, the safer everyone is on the road.
MS: I want to help people learn about various transportation industry related topics. Whether it’s safety advice, a health tip, or common best practices, I feel I have a lot to offer based on the experiences I’ve had.
I also want to take requests. If any drivers want to learn more about a specific topic, or wish to help me educate the general public, please comment below with your ideas and suggestions.
Thanks for reading! I look forward to my next article coming later this month.
