In recognition of trainers and trainees’ high performance and hard work, our Driver Training department developed the T.O.P (Trainer/Trainee’s Outstanding Performance) program, which awards one trainer and one trainee each month for showing exceptional attitude and willingness to go above and beyond job expectations.
We want to recognize trainer Andrew Roberson from St. Francisville, LA for January’s T.O.P Trainer of the Month! His Training Coordinator, Rick Stitt, nominated Andrew:
I would like to nominate trainer Andrew Roberson. Andrew started in the training program on December 16, 2014. Since then, he has had 15 trainees and has graduated 12 with one on his truck now. Out of the 12 that he has graduated, seven are still active employees of Celadon. Andrew always gets his students completed in a timely and efficient manner. He has always been available to train, and I have never had any student complaints about him. Andrew has had the initiative to create two backing videos that will be used on “Train the Trainer” video.

Trainee Matthew Newberger from Richmond VA received T.O.P. Trainee of the Month for January! He was nominated by his Driver Advocate, Lisa Traver:
Matthew has displayed patience during his graduation period. He was very enthusiastic when he passed his road test and felt like he finally did it. I feel he has gone above and beyond while waiting for a truck because his mother is in hospice, and he is choosing to stay here until he gets a truck first. He hopes to take a few days to take his truck home to show his Mother.
Please join in congratulating Andrew and Matthew on all of their hard work!
