CVSA Road Check 2019 Is Upon Us!
The CVSA’s annual roadside check will be June 4th – 6th! Did you know as a Celadon driver you can earn extra money for a clean inspection? Learn more below!
This Year’s Inspection
The focus of this year’s inspection will be suspension and steering systems, however, all driver and vehicle compliance requirements are likely to be inspected as well.
To avoid violations, our Safety Department suggests doing the following:
- Follow all traffic laws and wear your seat belt.
- Make sure your logs are up to date and compliant, and that you have your e-log instruction card along with at least 8 days of blank paper logs on hand.
- Complete your daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report all defects to Road Maintenance immediately. Pay special attention to your lights, tires, brakes, and fire extinguishers.
- If you are carrying a Hazmat load, check your placards to make sure they are correct and securely fastened to your vehicle. If you have a Hazmat question, call your driver manager or the Safety Department before leaving the shipper.
Earn an Extra $100
Your safety and compliance is very important to us, and clean roadside inspections are a big deal. To show our appreciation for all of our Celadon drivers, we will give a $100 gift card for each clean roadside inspection received from June 4th to June 6th, 2019.
You must submit your inspection report within 7 days of receipt to be eligible for the $100 payment, and it will be paid the first week of July 2019.
