We've Gone Back to Our Roots

We’re going back to trucking basics and putting our drivers first at Celadon.

To help do that, we’ve adjusted our new company pay package and are starting qualified drivers between $0.40/mile and $0.50/mile. Drivers can also earn an extra $0.03/mile for HazMat AND refrigerated loads. Better yet, add an extra $0.01 mile for every 120,000 miles driven, with no cap!

Celadon’s vacation package, in short, is one that makes our administrative employees jealous! Take a look at what options drivers have, and you’ll see exactly what we mean.

OTR Company Team Pay

Celadon Expedited teams split a base rate of $.50/mile, but they can also earn an extra $.02/mile if both teammates have their HazMat endorsement. Run 18k or more miles in a month, and you’re looking at a huge $.10/mile productivity bonus on top of your base rate.

That’s a top pay rate of $.62/mile. And with our dense team freight lanes that average you 1400 miles/load, you won’t have to worry about sitting around or long turn times!

OTR COMPANY VACATION PACKAGE

OTR company drivers earn 1 week of paid vacation every 30,000 miles or 60,000 team miles, up to 4 weeks per year.

You can take that time off or get a cash payout of $1,000 and keep driving. It’s your choice and you get paid either way!

DRIVER REFERRAL PROGRAM

Receive $1,000 for every driver you refer to Celadon as part of our Driver Referral Bonus program! You’ll earn $250 once the new driver takes his/her first dispatch after orientation. The final $750 is paid after your referral completes 90 days of employment with Celadon. There’s no limit on how many drivers you can refer!

Hiring Requirements

In order to find out if you pre-qualify, here are Celadon’s basic hiring requirements:

  • Be at least 21.5 years old at the time of the application
  • Have 6 months of verifiable tractor/trailer experience in the past 36 months (experienced drivers)
  • We also hire drivers with little and no experience! Learn more here >
  • Hold a valid Class-A CDL, issued by the applicant’s state of residence
  • Good driving record
  • No DWI, DUI, careless or reckless driving convictions in the past 5 years
  • No hit-and-run convictions in the past 10 years
  • No current parole/probation status or warrants for your arrest
  • No current license suspension
